Adobe Lightroom is the industry standard for editing images. It’s clean and simple-to-use interface means you can start editing today.
Adobe's Lightroom is unquestionably the leading professional photo-workflow software. The one question is, which Lightroom should you use? The photo software is now available as two separate applications: the consumer-targeted Lightroom and Lightroom Classic, reviewed here. Lightroom Classic offers professional photographers a powerful way to import, organise, and correct everything they shoot. The June 2020 update adds local hue adjustments, custom ISO-based presets, and new default preset options, along with some UI touch-ups. Other recent major updates include the Texture slider, Flat-Field correction, and the Enhance Details tool.
PhotoLab 4 is a clean, uncluttered image-editing and optical correction software package. DxO’s expertise really comes to the fore with noise reduction, haze removal and sharpness enhancement. There’s lots of control and edits are applied quickly.
PhotoLab 4 is the latest version of DxO’s excellent image-editing and optical correction software. It introduces a new dynamic workspace and upgraded demosaicing and demonising technology called DxO DeepPRIME that benefits from artificial intelligence and deep learning. There’s also a batch renaming feature, an editing history tool and a new Instant Watermarking feature. DxO’s in-depth understanding of optical flaws and how to correct them is central to PhotoLab. These corrections are available for different camera and lens combinations. Consequently, when you use PhotoLab for the first time, you’re prompted to download the necessary correction modules.
ON1 Photo RAW 2020 really is a photo editor that does everything, from the start of the photographic workflow right to the end.
On1 Photo RAW 2020 is an incredibly well thought out and designed program. It is VERY easy to use, and I think even a brand new photographer would be able to figure out how to use things, much easier than in other photo editing software. I believe this program is 99% of anything Photoshop could ever be for landscape photographers, and for that reason, I'd recommend it to any photographer who doesn't care about using the current "industry standard".
